A clear gutter feeding a blocked downpipe still floods a wall. Downpipes trap the fine silt and moss that the channel lets past, and the blockage usually sits at a bend, a shoe or the gulley at the bottom. We work the pipe from both ends, clear it, then run water through to prove it reaches the drain.
