Core checklist
Every item here is in scope on a standard downpipe clearing visit from us.
- Blockage located by sounding and camera rather than guesswork
- Rodded and vacuumed from the hopper and the shoe
- Gulley at the base cleared and checked for standing water
- Full water test to confirm flow all the way to the drain
- Pipe clips checked and refitted where they have pulled off the wall
- Damp staining on the wall photographed so you can watch it dry out
Commonly skipped areas
These are the places a rushed job leaves behind. Check them before you sign anything off.
- Skirting boards behind furniture
- Tops of doors and door frames
- Extractor grilles and vent covers
- Radiator backs and valves
- Light switches, sockets and handles
- Window tracks, sills and frames
What each surface needs
Matching chemistry to surface is what protects finishes. This is what we reach for and why.
- Drain rods with a range of heads
- Vacuum extraction at the hopper
- Water test from a fed pole
- Replacement pipe clips and shoes
