Core checklist
Every item here is in scope on a standard gutter clearing & unblocking visit from us.
- Pole camera used to find the blockage before anything is touched
- Moss, silt, nesting material and leaf packs vacuumed out from the ground
- Full water flush so you can see the run draining
- Hopper heads and outlets cleared, not just the visible channel
- Photos of the run before and after, sent the same day
- Any split joint or dropped bracket flagged for repair rather than patched over
Commonly skipped areas
These are the places a rushed job leaves behind. Check them before you sign anything off.
- Skirting boards behind furniture
- Tops of doors and door frames
- Extractor grilles and vent covers
- Radiator backs and valves
- Light switches, sockets and handles
- Window tracks, sills and frames
What each surface needs
Matching chemistry to surface is what protects finishes. This is what we reach for and why.
- Gutter vacuum with carbon fibre pole sections
- Pole-mounted wireless inspection camera
- Water flush from a fed pole to prove flow
- Hand clearance from a tower where a run is too packed to vacuum
Who this checklist suits
Anyone with water already coming over the edge of a gutter, staining a wall or dripping behind a downpipe.
The service behind this guide
