Cost guide

What affects the cost of commercial cleaning?

Nobody can price commercial cleaning properly without knowing the property. This guide explains the things we actually measure when we quote, so you can compare like for like instead of comparing headline numbers that hide exclusions.

What affects the cost of commercial cleaning?

The four things that move the price

Every quote we issue comes down to scope, condition, access and timing. Scope is how much of the property is in the job. Condition is how far it has drifted from clean. Access decides how much of the visit is productive work. Timing covers out-of-hours, weekend and same-day requests.

  • Scope — rooms, floors and whether add-ons are included
  • Condition — build-up, staining and how long since the last clean
  • Access — parking, stairs, lifts, keys and whether the space is clear
  • Timing — standard hours versus evenings, weekends or urgent turnarounds

What is always included in our commercial cleaning

We quote against a fixed written scope so nothing is discovered halfway through. For commercial cleaning that scope covers the following as standard.

  • Daily, weekly or bespoke schedules
  • Uniformed, DBS-checked cleaning staff
  • Full public liability insurance to £5M
  • Consumables and washroom supplies managed
  • Cover built in — no missed cleans
  • Single point of contact, monthly invoicing

Where cheap quotes usually hide the money

A low number normally means a shorter visit, fewer cleaners, or a scope that quietly excludes the parts that take longest. Ask any quote three questions: how many hours, how many cleaners, and what is explicitly excluded. If a quote will not answer those in writing, it is not a quote.

Methods and materials we price in

Chemistry and equipment change the time a job takes, and both are priced into the visit rather than added later.

  • Colour-coded microfibre by zone
  • Virucidal spray in washrooms and food areas
  • Buffable floor finish on hard flooring
  • Low-moisture carpet maintenance
  • Consumables logistics (soap, roll, liners)

How to get a real number

Send us the property size, the rough condition and your preferred date. Most quotes go back the same working day, and we would rather turn a job down than quote a number we cannot deliver against.

Questions people ask

Do you charge by the hour or by the job for commercial cleaning?

We quote a fixed price against a written scope wherever possible, so you know the figure before we start. Hourly is only used where the scope genuinely cannot be defined up front.

Is the quote binding?

The scope is. If we find something materially different from what was described, we tell you before doing the extra work rather than adding it to an invoice afterwards.

Are cleaning materials and equipment extra?

No. Our products, machines and consumables for the clean itself are included in the quoted price.

Do you charge more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours slots are priced separately because they carry different staffing costs. Ask when you enquire and we will quote both options.
